I am continuously impressed by the quality and durability of Laguna products.Installation was simple. I used the LagunaTools videos on YouTube. The steel on these brackets is thicker than the frame on most newer cars. Not trucks, but definitely cars. The bandsaw weighs 350 lbs. It can be moved around easily with one hand with this mobility kit installed. These tools should last generations.I installed this on my Laguna 14|12 (14/12 1412) band saw. Since I already had the band saw assembled, I was unable to follow the instruction manual since they show installing during assembly. I propped each end up with (2) 2x4's and was able to install them as well as remove the feet that were no longer needed. I'm happy with it overall; when it's in the down position the table is very stable, and when it's up it moves quite nicely. My main complaint, however, is that since it has only (3) points of contact with the ground, it will occasionally tip when turning. I'm sure it won't fall and crush me or break, but I feel like there should be a better design or method to prevent this. That being said, not sure how I lived without the mobile kit; makes life so much better.Unless you have unlimited space in your shop this is a crucial addition. I wish it was included as part of the saw, not sold as a separate accessory. The bandsaw is very stable when set and in seconds can be moved. The wheels and pedal are out of the way and not too bulky. It is a 3 wheel system so only one side turns, not an issue but something to be aware of when moving around other tools in the shop. The product works really well, but the review that complained of rocking does have a point. There is a step missing in the instructions given in what is otherwise an excellent manual for the bandsaw itself. Once the wheels have been assembled onto the bandsaw and the machine is upright on the floor, it's possible for the feet on the side with the swivelling castor to be out of level with respect to the fixed wheels on the other side. Under these conditions, the machine does rock, and that is not acceptable. The solution is to rock the machine onto the two feet and one wheel, slightly loosen the mounting screw for the wheel that is not contacting the floor, step on that wheel so that the two fixed wheels are level with the two feet, and then re-tighten the mounting screws for the fixed wheels. Once you've done that, the machine won't rock but it's ready to roll. The wheel system makes it easy to move the bandsaw around the shop. When it is mobile, It can be a bit "tippy", meaning you could possibly tip over the bandsaw while moving it.. When you release the pedal on the single "crazy" wheel, the saw settles down on four solid points and becomes very stable. Although the wheel system is a bit expensive ($150), it was worth it to me because I need to move the bandsaw around occasionally in my small shop.I'm like some other reviewers. I typically make my own mobile carts for shop tools, and my first reaction was $150 for wheels? After using this for a while, it's totally worth it. Construction is sturdy, installation took 10 minutes including watching the installation video on Youtube. Saves so much time just to buy these, and way more functional than what I would have built. Best part is the bandsaw stays put when you want it to, and moves when you want it to.This base is a terrible design. I read the other reviews but figured that those people did something wrong and why would Laguna be still selling it if it was so bad. Well it turns out the low star reviewers were right and Laguna continues to sell an expensive add-on that takes away considerably from the stability of the bandsaw.Without the mobile base the saw is rock solid. With the mobile base on it wobbles even with the wheel raised. The instructions to install the base are non-existent so I spent some time trying to work out what I had done wrong, but it turns out there is nothing you can do. The base is just bad. I strongly recommend trying to find a different solution. This is a waste of money.Works great! Love this for my shop. Have no issues to report after a few months use.The base while easy to install isn't great. I had to mess around with it a lot to get it sturdy enough such that there isn't wobble. Not impressed with the quality of the wheels either. They wobble and look cheap with a rod and pin. I'd hoped for a better product ultimately, but I need to move the saw around so I am stuck with it.
